Fresh COVID-19 case reported in Hyderabad's Kukatpally
Hyderabad: A fresh case of COVID-19 has been reported in the Kukatpally area of Hyderabad, Telangana, on May 23, 2025, raising concerns about a possible resurgence of the virus.
According to information, a local doctor has tested positive, marking a new case in the state amid reports of COVID-19 infections being detected in different parts of the country over the past few days. Earlier, Telangana reported its first confirmed COVID-19 case on March 2, 2020, involving a man who had returned from Dubai. India’s first COVID-19 case was detected on January 30, 2020, in a student returning from China. The virus gradually reached various states, including Telangana. Since then, the virus spread rapidly across India, prompting nationwide lockdowns and significantly affecting daily life.
