According to the complaint filed by Kukamudi Kiran (24), a driver and resident of Kakatiya Colony, the altercation began on August 1, 2025, when his 17-year-old son-in-law, J. Dheeraj, a first-year degree student, had an argument with his junior, Akshay. Later, Vamshi, a final-year student at the same college, along with others, allegedly confronted Dheeraj, threatening him with dire consequences.
Fearing for his safety, Dheeraj informed Kiran, who, along with his friends A. Mahesh and V. Sai Charan, decided to approach the college management to resolve the issue. However, before they could reach the institution, the accused intercepted them near Bharat Petrol Bunk and physically assaulted them. While Dheeraj escaped unharmed, Kiran and his two friends sustained internal injuries in the attack.
The LB Nagar Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage and witness statements. Further, LB Nagar police have registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges of assault and criminal intimidation.
