Hyderabad to get Centre of Excellence in Design
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad is set to house a Centre of Excellence in Design as part of the state government’s plan to position the city as a global hub for creativity and innovation, IT and industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Thursday.
He was speaking after inaugurating the International Conference on User Experience and Product Design – UXINDIA25, organised by the UMO Foundation, at Hotel Trident in Hitec City. Deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was also present.
Telangana’s innovation ecosystem
Sridhar Babu said the government is following a structured approach to build Telangana into an innovation hub. He cited initiatives such as T-Hub, T-Works and We-Hub, and added that the upcoming AI Innovation Hub would give strong emphasis to design and creativity.
“Design is creativity, but it must also be user-friendly. Only then can applications or websites sustain themselves,” he said. He also noted that challenges posed by technologies such as artificial intelligence should be seen as opportunities.
