Hyderabad traffic curbs for Bathukamma at Tank Bund on Sept 27
Hyderabad: Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions in view of the Bathukamma Carnival scheduled on September 27, 2025, at Upper Tank Bund. Restrictions will be in place between 14.00 IST and 23.00 IST.
Officials said traffic will either be stopped or diverted at several points depending on the local situation.
Key restrictions and diversions
Traffic from Telugu Thalli junction and Karbala Maidan towards Tank Bund will not be allowed.
Vehicles from Iqbal Minar to Upper Tank Bund will be diverted via Telugu Talli flyover–Katta Maisamma–DBR–Indira Park–Gandhinagar–RTC Crossroads.
Traffic from V.V. Statue towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Compound Lane.
Vehicles from Nallagutta junction to Budha Bhavan will be diverted at Nallagutta crossroad towards Ranigunj and Necklace Road.
Traffic from Liberty to Tank Bund will be diverted at Ambedkar Statue towards Iqbal Minar U-turn via Telugu Talli junction.
Vehicles from Secunderabad to Tank Bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House–Jabbar Complex–Kavadiguda–Gandhinagar–Dhobighat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma–Telugu Talli flyover.
Traffic from Musheerabad and Kavadiguda to Children’s Park–Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at DBR Mills towards MRO Office–Dhobighat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma.
RTC bus diversions
All inter-district RTC buses from Secunderabad to MGBS will be diverted at Sweekar-Upakar junction towards YWCA–Sangeeth–Mettuguda–Tarnaka–Nallakunta–Fever Hospital crossroad–Barkatpura–Tourist Hotel–Nimboli Adda–Chaderghat–Rangmahal–MGBS.
City buses will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House–Jabbar Complex–Kavadiguda–Gandhinagar–Dhobighat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma–Telugu Talli flyover.
Congestion points and parking
Police cautioned that congestion is likely at V.V. Statue, Old Saifabad PS, Iqbal Minar, Telugu Thalli junction, Necklace Rotary, Liberty, Ravindra Bharati, Ambedkar Statue, Tank Bund, Kavadiguda crossroad, Katta Maisamma, Karbala Maidan, Ranigunj and Nallagutta.
Parking has been arranged at Snow World, NTR Stadium, Martyrs’ Memorial, Race Course Road, BRK Bhavan Road, HMDA Parking, Sanjeevaiah Park and opposite Lumbini Park.
