Rama and his cousin Arjun had gone missing in the nala during heavy rains on September 14. While Arjun’s body was found in Nalgonda district’s Valigonda on September 18, Rama’s remains surfaced nearly 10 days later.

SHADNAGAR: In a separate incident, the body of a man who went missing in a stream between Tangelapalli and Viswanathapur villages in Kondurg mandal was recovered on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as Dastagiri Lingam, 50, from Manchiryala village, was washed away in the stream on Friday. His body was later found stuck in bushes a short distance away.

Following the recovery, Lingam’s relatives staged a rasta roko at the Shadnagar MLA’s camp office demanding assistance. Tension prevailed when police tried to disperse them.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker Prashant, who joined the protest, stormed into the MLA camp office and was taken into custody by police.
