Heat and scattered storms expected in Hyderabad, says Telangana Weatherman
Hyderabad: Telangana Weatherman Balaji (@balaji25_t) has said that Hyderabad and parts of Telangana will experience a combination of heat and scattered thunderstorms starting today, as the region transitions out of the break monsoon phase.
Posting on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he said, “HEAT STORMS from today. As we are gradually heading towards END of Break Monsoon, T-storms will start from today. Today only scattered storms expected as we are just coming out of break spell, hot & humid weather expected. Hyderabad - Scattered rains ahead during evening - midnight, till evening dry.”
Looking ahead, he warned of rising temperatures and uncomfortable humidity. “DOUBLE TORTURE TILL JUNE 11. Coming days, heat & humidity gonna further torture us, especially East TG districts gonna face torture as temp gonna cross 41°C till June 11. HYD will have 36–37°C. Also, scattered storms will increase from tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for June 5. It forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places across Telangana, along with gusty winds (30–40 km/h) in districts including Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. Scattered showers are expected mainly in the evening and night hours. Daytime is likely to remain dry and hot.
