Hindus and Muslims are two eyes of Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Describing Hindus and Muslims as “two eyes” of the Telangana government, the Chief minister Revanth Reddy said Congress party has always worked for the unity of the people.
Chief minister Revanth Reddy paid respects to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, first Education Minister of India, on the occasion of National Education Day celebrations in Hyderabad on Monday. The celebrations were held at Ravindra Bharati to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy said the minority community played a significant role in bringing Congress to power in Telangana. Trying to dispel the notion about minorities, the chief minister said that the grand old party has viewed Muslims as family members not a vote bank.
Although not a single member from the minority group got elected as an MLA during the Telangana Assembly elections, the Congress government appointed Shabbir Ali as a government advisor and Aamir Ali Khan as an MLC. The chief minister urged the minorities to support the Congress and its allies in the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition in Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024.
Revanth Reddy further stated that there are only two political families in the country — Modi Parivar and Gandhi Parivar. He claimed that BJP-led parivar promotes disharmony among the people while the Congress is committed to promoting harmony and national integrity.
