Heavy rains damage NH44, Cyberabad police issue traffic diversions
Hyderabad: In view of the unprecedented heavy rains and the resultant damage to NH 44 (Nagpur Highway), Hyderabad traffic police issued diversions to ensure public safety and smooth vehicular movement.
Diversion Plan for Heavy Vehicles:
Heavy vehicles moving from Hyderabad towards Adilabad via NH44 (Nagpur Highway) will be diverted at Medchal Checkpost (Diversion Point).
Towards Siddipet via Karimnagar Highway, as described: Medchal Checkpost → Siddipet → Karimnagar → Jagityal → Korutla → Metpally → Armoor → Adilabad.
Diversion Plan for Light Vehicles:
Light vehicles moving from Hyderabad towards Adilabad via NH44 (Nagpur Highway) will be diverted at Toopran (Diversion Point).
Towards Siddipet via Karimnagar Highway, as described: Medchal → Toopran → Siddipet → Karimnagar → Jagityal → Korutla → Metpally → Armoor → Adilabad.
Affected Stretch:
The highway stretch between Kamareddy → Dichpally → Armoor.
Public Advisory
Commuters are requested to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the police at diversion points. Heavy vehicles and long-distance travellers are advised to strictly follow the diversion routes to avoid congestion. Traffic police and Highway Patrol teams will be available on the ground to assist with route guidance.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad urged the commuters for their cooperation to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic.
