Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is set to spend nearly Rs. 5 crores on the renovation of Uppal Stadium in preparation for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Arshanapalli Jagan Mohan Rao visited the stadium on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, alongside representatives from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to review the progress of the renovation work.

Jagan Mohan Rao instructed the staff to expedite the renovation efforts, as the first IPL match is scheduled to take place in just 10 days. The work includes repainting the entire stadium, constructing new restrooms in the North Stand, and upgrading the cricketers' dressing rooms and corporate boxes with new air conditioning and tiles.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President confirmed that the total expenditure for these upgrades will be around Rs. 5 crores. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is also supporting the renovation through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The inspection team included Vaibhav and Yuvraj from BCCI, and Saravanan and Rohit from the SRH team management.
