Ibrahimpatnam: Woman constable brutally murdered in suspected honor killing
Hyderabad: In a tragic case of suspected honor killing, a woman constable from Hyderabad was brutally murdered in Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy district, on Monday.
Nagamani, who worked at the Hayathnagar police station, had recently married Srikanth outside her caste, going against the wishes of her family. She was reportedly hit by a car driven by her brother, Paramesh. After ramming her with a car, he stabbed her with a sharp object which resulted in her instant death. The heinous act occurred on Rayapolu-Endlaguda road near Rayapolu village.
The body has been sent for postmortem. The Inspector of police Bollam Satyanarayan stated that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
