Hyderabad: In his first reaction to Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s allegations, senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former Minister T. Harish Rao said that his 25-year-long political journey is an ‘open book’ before the people of Telangana and that he leaves the allegations to the public's wisdom on Saturday.

Returning to the city after a foreign tour, T. Harish Rao addressed the recent comments made by K. Kavitha. Speaking from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, T. Harish Rao said, “Some people are spreading bad news about me and the party. My 25-year-long political journey is an open book. Everyone knows my commitment and role in achieving Telangana statehood,” Harish Rao stated, reflecting on it.

Without directly attacking Kavitha, Rao alleged, “For some time now, she (indirectly referring to Kavitha) has also been making the same comments about our party that some political parties have been making about me. I leave it to her wisdom to understand why she made those comments.” Further, emphasizing his focus on protecting the interests of the Telangana people, Rao said, “I have the responsibility to work only as per the aspirations of the Telangana people.”

Moreover, the former minister also took the opportunity to outline the party's future strategy, positioning BRS as the protector of Telangana's interests. “Now Telangana state is grappling with urea shortage and floods issues. Our focus is on how to resolve those issues. We will protect the state from Telangana traitors,” he declared, taking a clear jab at the ruling Congress party.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the party president, Rao concluded with a confident prediction, “Under the leadership of KCR, we will bring the BRS party back to power and move forward together to eliminate the hardships faced by the people.”
