GHMC seals unapproved 'Pavilion Restaurant' in Jubilee Hills following court orders
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in Khairatabad Zone took action against an unauthorized structure called “Pavilion Restaurant.” Following the directions from the Telangana High Court, the Town Planning Department, Jubilee Hills, with the cooperation of the Police Department, sealed the premises.
In 2019, the GHMC office issued notices after receiving several complaints about the alleged unauthorized construction. Further, the Deputy Commissioner supervised detailed enquiries conducted on 13th March and 16th April 2025.
Despite the replies submitted by Satish Polam Reddy (husband of Amulya Reddy Chennuri), the concerned landowner, GHMC confirmed in a statement that operating a restaurant without the requisite permissions and carrying out commercial activities in a residential zone is illegal.
The unauthorized structure called “Pavilion Restaurant” is located on Road No. 51, Plot No. 1014C, Jubilee Hills Cooperative Society, in Circle-18, Khairatabad Zone, and was sealed. This was done following the Commissioner's order from GHMC.
The GHMC stated it will keep taking strong action against unauthorized constructions. There will be no exemptions in applying the Urban Development Code.
