GHMC launches EMS app for easier lease payments
HYDERABAD: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has rolled out a new digital platform to streamline the management of municipal assets, including markets, shopping complexes, model markets and leasehold lands.
The app, called Estate Management System (EMS), was launched by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi during the GHMC standing committee meeting on September 24. Commissioner R V Karnan, committee members and senior officials were present.
Through EMS, leaseholders can make their rent and lease payments online. Officials said the initiative will improve transparency, accountability and efficiency while reducing manual intervention.
Designed to be user-friendly, the app provides real-time details of demand, collection and balance (DCB), aiding monitoring from the field level up to the head office.
“EMS will play a key role in strengthening municipal asset management and ensuring effective administration,” said GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan.
The app was formally released through the GHMC office of the Chief Public Relations Officer.
