GHMC AEE official caught accepting Rs. 50,000 bribe in Rajendra Nagar
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials in Hyderabad caught red-handedly Venkoba, an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) from Circle XI, GHMC, Rajendra Nagar, for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000.
According to the ACB reports, Venkoba allegedly demanded this amount from a complainant in exchange for recording measurements in the M Book for completed work. A tainted sum of Rs. 50,000 was recovered from his possession, and a chemical test confirmed the presence of bribe-related substances on his hands.
Venkoba, the Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) from Circle XI, GHMC, Rajendra Nagar, is accused of improperly and dishonestly performing his official duties to gain an undue advantage. He has been arrested and will be presented before the Hon'ble 1st Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
The case is currently under investigation. The ACB urges the public to report any demands for bribes by public servants by contacting their toll-free number, 1064, for legal action.
