German woman assaulted by taxi driver in Hyderabad’s Pahadishareef

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old German woman was sexually assaulted by a cab driver on the night of March 31, 2025, while traveling to the airport in Mamidipally, Pahadishareef.

According to the reports, the woman, who had been visiting a friend in Hyderabad, spent the day touring the city with her friend and others. After dropping off the other passengers, the driver took her to the airport. However, near Mamidipally, the driver stopped at a secluded spot, where he allegedly attacked her and then fled the scene.

The woman contacted the police and immediately filed a report at the Pahadishareef police station. A rape case was registered, and a search was launched to find the suspect. The woman underwent a medical examination, and a team of female officers is supporting her. Special teams have been assigned to locate the suspect.

Earlier Incident in Secunderabad

On March 22, 2025, a 23-year-old woman was injured after jumping from a moving MMTS train to escape an attempted assault near Kompally.

The woman, from Medchal, had traveled to Secunderabad to get her phone repaired. She boarded a train to Medchal and was alone in the ladies' coach when a man, around 25 years old, attempted to assault her. To escape, she jumped from the moving train, suffering injuries to her head, chin, right hand, and waist.

Passersby called for help, and she was taken to Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad. Her condition is stable. The woman later told the police that she would be able to identify the attacker if she saw him again.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Secunderabad investigated the incident and arrested the suspect.
