His tweet read, “Shocked and horrified! Found a frog in my friend's meal today at Kadamba Mess (IIIT Hyderabad). Students are voicing serious concerns about food safety, labelling the incident as highly unacceptable. In a statement to Hyderabad Mail, IIIT Hyderabad officials confirmed the incident, describing it as an internal issue that they are currently addressing.

This incident highlights a troubling trend of food safety violations in Hyderabad's dining establishments. Previously, in July, students at JNTUH University College of Engineering Sultanpur also reported a serious hygiene issue when a viral video showed a rat scurrying in a large container of chutney from the hostel mess. The video, shared by user @LakshmiKant, with the caption, “Rat in the 'Chutney' in the JNTUH SULTANPUR. What hygiene maintenance by the staff members is in a mess?”

The recurrence of such incidents raises alarming questions about food hygiene and safety standards across the city, highlighting the urgent need for improvement in the maintenance of dining facilities in educational institutions.
