Vigilance Commission clears prosecution of Arvind Kumar, BLN Reddy
HYDERABAD: In a key development in the Formula E car race case, the Vigilance Commission has recommended prosecution of senior Indian Administrative Service officer Arvind Kumar and former officer B L N Reddy.
According to officials, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) submitted a report to the state government seeking permission to prosecute the two officers. The Vigilance Commission, after conducting its inquiry, cleared the proposal for prosecution and sent its report to the government.
The government has since forwarded the Commission’s report to the ACB, enabling further action against the officers.
Meanwhile, in a parallel development, the ACB has sent a separate report to the Governor seeking sanction to prosecute former minister K T Rama Rao in connection with the case. The Governor is yet to take a decision on the matter.
