Firecracker sales license application deadline approaches in Cyberabad
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have announced that individuals wishing to possess and sell firecrackers on a temporary basis during the Deepavali festival must obtain a license under the Explosives Act of 1884 and its amendments. The Deputy Commissioner of Police will issue licenses in the respective zones.
Applicants are required to submit their applications manually using Form AE-5 of the Explosives Rules by October 24, 2024. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted.
To complete the application process, applicants must include the following documents:
- NOC from the Fire Services Department or NOC from the Divisional Fire Officer.
- Land permission issued by GHMC authorities for government land.
- NOC or agreement from the landowner in the case of private land.
- A copy of any license issued in the previous year (optional).
- NOC from neighbors if the shop is located in a pucca structure.
- Site plan of the shop (blueprint copy).
- Original Challan fee receipt for Rs. 600, paid at the State Bank of India, Gruhakalpa branch, Opposite Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad.

Applications submitted without the required documents will be rejected outright. The Cyberabad Police have highlighted that any contravention of these regulations will result in penal provisions and other actions as stipulated under the Act and its associated rules.
