One dead, three injured in fire at Arora Pharma Company in Jeedimetla

Medchal: A major fire accident at Arora Pharma Company in Jeedimetla, Medchal Malkajgiri district, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, resulted in the death of one worker and left three others seriously injured.

According to the reports, the accident occurred when a chemical was mixed with a reactor, causing an explosion and fire.

The deceased has been identified as Anil, aged 40. The injured workers, Gopi (25), Srinivas (25), and Balram (30), suffered severe burns and were immediately shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad for treatment.

Fire and police personnel quickly responded to the scene, controlling the blaze and evacuating the area. However, the family members of the deceased worker staged a protest, expressing anger over the delay in informing them about the incident.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire, and further details are awaited.
