Movie shoot labourers from Krishna Nagar, Uppal nabbed for bike thefts across Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills Police have arrested two men involved in a series of motorcycle thefts and one individual accused of receiving stolen vehicles across Hyderabad.
Based on credible information, police apprehended Nimmathi Srikanth, 32, a labourer in movie shootings and resident of Krishna Nagar, and E. Naveen, 22, also a film shooting labourer and resident of Uppal. Both were found in possession of stolen motorcycles reported missing from various police station limits.
The stolen vehicles were reported missing from multiple police station jurisdictions: Banjara Hills (2 cases), Jubilee Hills (1 case), Begumpet (3 cases), Gopalapuram (1 case), Borabanda (1 case), Medchal (1 case), and Pet Basheerbagh (1 case).
Further investigation led to the identification of Shaik Kaleem, who is alleged to have received stolen motorcycles from the two accused.
It was also revealed that Nimmathi Srikanth is a repeat offender. He is currently facing trial in several other theft cases registered at Pathukapalli Police Station (2020), Shamirpet Police Station (2022), Ramgopalpet Police Station (2022), and Sultanabad Police Station in Karimnagar (2025).
The swift and coordinated efforts of the Banjara Hills Police have resulted in the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles and the detection of several theft cases. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
