CM Revanth Reddy lays foundation for FCDA office, road in Ranga Reddy
HYDERABAD: Chief minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the Future City Development Authority’s (FCDA) new office building at Mirkhanpet in Kandukur mandal, Ranga Reddy district. The building, sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹19 crore through G.O.Rt.No.465 on August 30, 2025, has received technical clearance from the Engineer-in-Chief (Public Health) on September 17. Spread across 7.29 acres, it will provide a built-up area of 16,393 sq ft with modern workspaces and an integrated Experience Centre.
Experience Centre to showcase planning models
The Experience Centre will highlight concepts of Bharat Future City, sustainable infrastructure and innovative urban practices. They plan it as a platform for citizens, investors, and stakeholders to engage with Telangana’s vision for next-generation cities. The design includes reception, lobby, conference halls, boardrooms, breakout spaces and a pantry. Vaastu-compliant orientation, natural light, modular workspaces and efficient circulation are being incorporated. Fire alarms, CCTV surveillance and access control systems will be part of safety measures.
Green and citizen-friendly design
Sustainable features such as like rainwater harvesting, solar panels, sewage treatment and native landscaping will be used. Parking will include electric vehicle charging. The building will have a modern façade, acoustic control, ergonomic furniture and indoor air quality systems.
FCDA’s mandate and Bharat Future City
The government set up FCDA through G.O.Ms.No.69 on March 12, 2025, with jurisdiction over 765 sq km covering 56 revenue villages, three Assembly constituencies, and seven mandals.. It acts as a single-window system for permissions and clearances. The developers are creating its flagship, Bharat Future City, on 15,000 acres in partnership with Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. Planned as India’s first Net-Zero Smart City, it will integrate industries, residential zones, schools, hospitals and green spaces.
Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Sridhar Babu and Adluri Laxman, adviser Vem Narender Reddy and senior officials attended the foundation ceremony.
