Hyderabad: An Excise Inspector from Hyderabad was among the 28 people killed in a deadly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday. The carnage also left around 10 others injured. Meanwhile, the terror attack has sent shockwaves across the country.

The massive attack took place in Baisaran, an expansive meadow located about six km from the resort town of Pahalgam. The attack, suspected to have been carried out by a terror outfit based in Pakistan, specifically targetted tourists who were vacationing in the popular trekking spot in the region.

As per the available information, Excise Inspector Manish Ranjan was shot dead by the terrorists in front of his family, however his wife and children survived. Ranjan, a native of Bihar, was on a Leave Travel Concession (LTC) visit with his family when the attack occurred.
