ENO banners mocking KCR, KTR go viral across Hyderabad after Davos investment deals

The Indian National Congress in Telangana has launched a satirical campaign against the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) by displaying ENO antacid banners featuring images of BRS leaders KCR and KTR, with the tagline 'Stomach upset by investments? Use ENO!'. This campaign comes in response to a successful investment drive by the Congress delegation led by Revanth Reddy at the World Economic Forum in Davos, securing deals worth Rs 1.78 lakh crore. The Congress party is using this success to counter the BRS politically, highlighting the benefits of the investments while simultaneously criticizing KCR and KTR's response to the announcements. KTR, on the other hand, dismissed the Davos announcements, questioning the need for local companies to travel to Switzerland for such deals.

Congress leaders organized this campaign in response to the investments secured by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s delegation during their visit to Davos. These investments, totaling Rs 1.78 lakh crore, include major deals with companies like Amazon (Rs 60,000 crore), Sun Petrochemicals (Rs 45,500 crore), and Tillman Global Holdings (Rs 50,000 crore), along with several others in sectors like IT, artificial intelligence, green energy, and aerospace.

Revanth Reddy's delegation also signed MoUs with HCL Tech Centre, Wipro, and Infosys. These investments could make Hyderabad a major industrial and tech hub.

The visit's success has given the Congress party a political boost, allowing them to counter the BRS. In contrast to the positive response from Congress, earlier, K.T. Rama Rao criticized the announcements made at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

On social media, he questioned the necessity of making local companies travel to Switzerland for investment announcements, writing, “MoUs That Could Have Been Signed Over Chai in Hyderabad, Now Need Swiss Hot Chocolate!” He also mocked the idea of innovative thinking, calling the effort a “circus.”

While the Congress party celebrates the investment success, it is using it to target its opponents politically. It highlights the benefits of the deal while continuing its attack on KCR and KTR.
