Suresh and Srimanshu sustained critical injuries and are currently undergoing treatment. Mounika suffered a severe electric shock. Locals at the scene rushed her to Vijay Hospital, but as her condition deteriorated, she was transferred to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. Despite medical efforts, she did not survive.

Initial reports suggest the power line broke due to strong winds. Residents have raised concerns about the maintenance of electrical infrastructure in the area. Local authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.

In a separate incident on Friday night, January 17, 2025, two workers were electrocuted while dismantling a hoarding at the Vijayalaxmi Arcade building. The victims, Mallesh (29) and Balu (32), came into contact with a high-tension line while on the job. Co-workers alerted authorities, and police sent the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered.

On May 8, 2024, a 49-year-old fruit vendor, Ahmed Khan, died of electrocution during heavy rainfall while attempting to cross a waterlogged road near Varun Motors. Employed at a banana storage facility, Ahmed reportedly touched an electric pole for support and collapsed.

Passersby initially mistook him for being unwell, but later contacted emergency services. He was taken to hospital and declared dead on arrival. CCTV footage confirmed the incident. Police later confirmed that power to the pole was disconnected after the accident. Authorities have reminded the public to avoid contact with electrical poles during wet weather, as waterlogging can increase the risk of electrocution.
