Drunk woman crashes into biker, causes panic near KPHB Metro Station
Hyderabad: A car driven by an intoxicated woman caused panic near KPHB Metro Station in Hyderabad on the night of March 6. The car collided with a two-wheeler rider, and the woman allegedly threatened him following the accident.
According to the reports, the biker escalated the incident to the traffic police, who intervened and conducted a breathalyzer test on the driver.
The test revealed a blood alcohol level of 212 points, confirming the woman was intoxicated. Locals, who had gathered at the scene, surrounded the car and the women. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
In a separate incident, a car lost control at high speed near NTR Ghat on March 3, 2025. The vehicle veered off the road, hitting the median and jumping onto the footpath. However, no pedestrians were around at the time.
The car struck an electric pole and damaged two trees before coming to a halt. Police are investigated whether alcohol was a factor and reviewed nearby CCTV footage. A case of rash driving has been filed.
On February 19, 2025, two tech professionals, including a woman, were seriously injured in a car accident near Movie Towers in Kokapet, Narsingi. The car they were traveling in collided with a stationary truck while returning from a party. Police suspect alcohol may have played a role, as the passengers showed signs of intoxication hours after the crash. The Narsingi police have registered a case.
That same day, two students were injured in another crash near CBIT in Gandipet, Narsingi. Their car collided with an advertising pillar while traveling from Narsingi to Shankarpally. Witnesses suggest overspeeding was a factor, and the students sustained life-threatening injuries. Local residents rushed them to the hospital.
A fatal accident occurred late on Tuesday night in Malakpet when 24-year-old Mahesh Kumar, a vegetable vendor from Saidabad, lost control of his scooter and crashed into an electric pole. He had been on his way to meet friends after celebrating his birthday with family. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. Police suspect excessive speed was a contributing factor.
