Over Rs. 3.5 crore in assets seized from suspended Mahabubabad transport officer

Hyderabad: A case of disproportionate assets has been filed against Mohd. Ghouse Pasha, the suspended Motor Vehicle Inspector and FAC District Transport Officer from Mahabubabad, for allegedly accumulating disproportionate assets to his known sources of income. The case was registered under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018.

On April 25, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted searches at Mohd. Ghouse Pasha’s residence and at four other locations connected to him and his family members. During the raids, officials uncovered documents related to several properties, including two houses valued at ₹26,85,000, 25 open plots worth ₹2,28,29,168, and agricultural land documents for 10 acres and 36½ guntas, valued at ₹55,98,736.

In addition to the property documents, the ACB found household items valued at ₹7,03,805, along with a car and two motorcycles, collectively worth ₹32,90,000. The total estimated value of the assets is ₹3.51 crore (₹3,51,06,759). Further verification of additional assets is currently underway.

Mohd. Ghouse Pasha, who has been suspended from his duties, was arrested and is expected to be produced before the Hon’ble Special Court for SPE & ACB Cases in Warangal. The investigation is ongoing.
