Thandel director Chandoo Mondeti reveals Sai Pallavi’s humble set routine: No assistants, just sunscreen
Hyderabad: A video circulating on Instagram has sparked excitement among Sai Pallavi's fans, as Director Chandoo Mondeti shared insights into her humble nature while making the upcoming film Thandel. The director's comments have left fans praising the actress for her down-to-earth persona.
In an interview with the media, Chandoo Mondeti revealed that Sai Pallavi prefers to work without assistants and arrives on set alone, without makeup, and only applying sunscreen. He added that she blends in seamlessly with the rest of the crew, to the point where it’s hard to distinguish her from anyone else on set.

The film’s shoot took place on a beach, where the actress showed remarkable courage. Chandoo Mondeti noted that many senior actors were apprehensive about the harsh conditions, but Sai Pallavi stood her ground, unaffected by the heat or the potential dangers, including scorpion bites. She was required to throw a net into the water during the scene despite not knowing how to swim. Chandoo Mondeti expressed his pride in watching her on screen, calling her performance beautiful.

Thandel, which also stars Naga Chaitanya, will be released on February 7, 2025. The romantic thriller tells the story of fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally drift into Pakistani waters, exploring themes of love, courage, and patriotism.
Sai Pallavi has made a name for herself in the South Indian film industry with standout performances in films like Premam, Fidaa, Gargi, and Love Story.
