Thick Fog Engulfs Hyderabad Highways, Disrupting Morning Commute
Hyderabad: Dense fog blanketed parts of Hyderabad and its outskirts during the early hours of Tuesday, impacting visibility on key highways.
Major routes, including LB Nagar, Saroornagar, and Vanasthalipuram along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada stretch, experienced significant visibility issues. A similar situation was reported on the Bowenpally-Kompally route (National Highway 44).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad had forecasted foggy conditions earlier, stating, “Foggy or misty conditions are likely to prevail during morning hours at isolated pockets over Telangana during the next three days. Minimum temperatures are likely to be normal during the next three days.”
Weather enthusiast T Balaji, known as Telangana Weatherman on X ((@telangana Weatherman), noted, “Super dense fog all over the South East Telangana districts, especially along Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway. Fog likely to clear in the next 1 to 2 hours. Moderate winter chill to continue.”
