Delhi Mithaiwala among sweet shops found with safety violations in Ameerpet
Ameerpet: A task force from the Telangana Commissioner of Food Safety conducted inspections at various sweet shops in the Ameerpet area on October 23, 2024, revealing multiple food safety violations across local establishments.
Delhi Mithaiwala, Ameerpet
During the inspection at Delhi Mithaiwala, authorities found several issues, including the absence of medical fitness certificates and water analysis reports. A FoSTaC-trained supervisor was also not present.
The premises lacked proper insect-proof screens on doors and windows, and food items such as curd and milk were not labelled. Additionally, sugar bags were stored directly on the floor without maintaining a gap between the walls, and rat feces were observed on the storage room racks, indicating a possible rodent infestation. Open dustbins were found in the kitchen area.
