Man on bike hit by DCM, dies on spot in Medchal

Medchal: A 34-year-old man tragically died after being hit by a DCM while traveling on his bike in Medchal on the morning of Thursday, November 28, 2024.

The victim has been identified as Nagaraju, a resident of Rajbolaram in Medchal, who was on his way to work when the accident occurred at Poddur Junction.

According to reports, a DCM struck Nagaraju's bike, causing him to fall onto the road. He sustained severe injuries and died at the spot.
Police arrived shortly after the incident and took the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. Investigations are underway.

In another incident on the morning of October 30, 2024, a private travel bus collided with a pedestrian in Shahpur Nagar under the Jeedimetla police station limits, resulting in a fatal accident.

The victim was identified as Harikrishna, the sanitation in-charge of GHMC’s 23rd circle. According to reports, Harikrishna was crossing the road when the bus struck him, dragging him from Chowrasta to Sagar Hotel.

Emergency services were alerted by locals, and police quickly arrived at the scene. The Jeedimetla police have since registered a case and are investigating the incident.

This incident follows a series of tragic accidents in the area. Earlier, on Saturday morning, September 21, 2024, a woman was killed after being struck and run over by a lorry while crossing the road in Medchal.

Additionally, on September 18, 2024, another woman, Neeta, was tragically killed in a road accident while returning home after dropping her children off at school. The accident occurred when Neeta was leaving her daughter near Johnson Grammar School. A lorry loaded with gas cylinders struck her as she navigated the busy street near the HMT gate in Nacharam.
