Hyderabad: In an effort to address growing traffic congestion and improve commuter experience, the Cyberabad Police launched the ‘Cyberabad Traffic Pulse’ today, January 31, 2025. The initiative, which provides real-time traffic updates, was inaugurated by Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, IPS, along with Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, IPS. The launch was supported by the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and Tanla Platforms Limited.

Key features of the ‘Cyberabad Traffic Pulse’ include updates on congestion, accident alerts, diversion information, and estimated clearance times. The platform also allows users to communicate directly with the traffic police via WhatsApp, providing feedback or suggestions. It can send personalized alerts based on users’ frequently used routes and preferred modes of transport.

Commissioner Mohanty stated at the event that the new platform would significantly reduce traffic congestion and save commuters time by offering real-time alerts. He expressed confidence that it would enhance road traffic management across the city. He also thanked SCSC and Tanla for their contributions to the initiative.

Joint Commissioner D. Joel Davis highlighted that the platform would provide real-time updates on traffic congestion, road diversions, accidents, and major city events directly to citizens' mobile phones via WhatsApp, Google RCS, SMS, or Flash Messages. He added that the platform would help foster better communication between citizens and the police, resulting in smoother traffic flow.

SCSC Joint Secretary Rajesh said that the initiative aligns with SCSC’s mission to use technology for safer, more efficient traffic management. Tanla Chief Customer Officer Shriram expressed pride in supporting the project, noting that it would reduce stress and improve daily commutes for Hyderabad's residents.
