Cyberabad police crack Khazana jewellery heist case, arrest 2 accused from Bihar
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police cracked the broad daylight dacoity case of Khazana Jewellers in Chandanagar and arrested two accused persons who are involved in the offence, recovering silver articles weighing about 900 grams.
The accused were identified as Aashish Kumar Singh (22) and Deepak Kumar Sah (22) from Bihar state.
Going further into details, on 12 August, six armed thieves stormed the premises shortly after opening hours. The gang, armed with guns, went on a rampage, firing multiple rounds and injuring the deputy manager, Satish Kumar, on his left knee before fleeing towards Zaheerabad. The accused were successful in escaping with a booty of around 10 kg of silver articles, including gold-coated silver.
In a media briefing, Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police Vineeth G said, “Cyberabad Police arrested two accused persons who are involved in the offence of dacoity at Khazana Jewellers, Chanda Nagar, Hyderabad, and recovered silver articles weighing about 900 grams. On further investigation, seven people were identified as involved."
Modus Operadi
The accused from Bihar planned to loot gold and diamond jewellery shops in Hyderabad using firearms. With the help of their associate Deepak Kumar Sah, a welding worker in Hyderabad, they rented accommodation at Asbestos Colony, Jeedimetla on 31.07.2025, procured two second-hand bikes, and conducted a recce of showrooms at Chandanagar. They finally executed the robbery at Khazana Jewellers. Later, accused Aashish Kumar Singh was apprehended in Maharashtra, and based on his information, Deepak Kumar Sah, who arranged the stay, vehicles, and helped identify targets, was also arrested.
Police Advisory
The management of jewellery shops are advised to have adequate security mechanisms during the operational hours and also to have an intrusion alarm panel at their establishment and to the nearest police stations to thwart such incidents. The above arrests were made with the combined efforts of SOT, CCS, L&O staff of Cyberabad under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad.
