Flying restrictions imposed around Hakimpet and Dundigal air force stations
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has imposed restrictions on the operation of drones and similar aerial devices near key defense establishments in the region.
Avinash Mohanty, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, has issued an order prohibiting the flying of remotely controlled drones, paragliders, and micro-light aircraft within a 5-kilometre radius of the Air Force Station at Hakimpet and the Indian Air Force Academy at Dundigal.
The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), is aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining security around these sensitive areas.
The restriction will remain in effect from May 12 to June 11, 2025. Violators will face legal action under applicable laws.
The police have urged citizens to cooperate and avoid any aerial activity in the restricted zones.
