Narayana College staff booked for assaulting student in Gaddi Annaram

Hyderabad: A floor in-charge at a private college in Gaddi Annaram has been booked by Malakpet police for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old student. Meanwhile, the CCTV footage of the melee in the college is going viral on social media.

Going further into the details, the incident occurred on September 15 at a private college, where the accused, Satish (41), is employed. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by D Santosh Kumar, father of the victim, on September 17.

According to the complainant, his son, a first-year intermediate student, was involved in a physical altercation with another student. During the incident, Satish, who is a floor in-charge of the college premises, tried to pacify both parties but lost his cool and allegedly struck the teenager, resulting in an injury to his left jaw. CCTV footage of the altercation has circulated widely on social media platforms.

Investigation Underway

Malakpet police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation. Further, the police are collecting technical evidence like the CCTV footage in the college premises and questioning the students and lecturers from the college to understand the sequence of events that led to the incident.  No arrests have been reported yet. Further investigation is underway.
