HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy honored Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday (today). He was warmly received by the CM. Siraj gifted his Team India jersey to Revanth Reddy. Revanth Reddy also praised Siraj's remarkable achievements and skills, highlighting his significant contribution to India over the years. Siraj is the only player from Telugu states, who is been the part of recent T20 World Cup winning squad.

Siraj met with the CM Revanth Reddy following his return to Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy acknowledged Siraj's exceptional performance. He further stated that, siraj brought great fame and recognition to both India and Telangana. As a token of appreciation to Mohammed Siraj, Revanth Reddy announced that the state government would allocate a government job and a plot of land. He directed officials to look into the same.

Hero’s welcome in Hyderabad

Siraj received warm welcome from all the cricket fans across the Hyderabad on July 5th. He dedicated the victory to his fans and acknowledged their unwavering support. In a heartfelt speech, Siraj said, "I have not alone won. All of you are also champions. You all deserve this joy. Every corner of India prayed for the victory; everyone deserves to share this happiness. Love you guys."

Siraj also shared an emotional moment with his mother. He presented her with his medal and posting a touching message on Instagram, calling her "Boss." Siraj belongs to a humble family background. His latest father was an autorickshaw driver in Hyderabad. With his resilience and hardwork, Siraj became what he is today. Siraj's remarkable journey has been inspirational all. Siraj's dedication and passion for the game have propelled him to significant heights.

Earlier, Mohammed Siraj and the entire team India squad met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi congratulated each and every player on their remarkable victory.
