Originally released in 1991, Aditya 369 is directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, with Mohini, Amrish Puri, Tinnu Anand, and others in supporting roles. The film blends history and science fiction, taking audiences on a journey through different time periods, including 1526 CE and a post-apocalyptic future set in 2504 CE.

The film’s music, composed by Ilayaraja, is widely praised, and the soundtrack includes popular songs such as "Jaanavule" and "Raasaleela Vela." The film received critical acclaim and won two state Nandi Awards.

Produced by S. Anitha Krishna under the Sridevi Movies banner, Aditya 369 was inspired by H.G. Wells' novella The Time Machine and is considered a landmark in Indian science fiction. The film was also dubbed in Hindi as Mission 369 and Tamil as Apoorva Sakthi 369.

In a unique approach, the film employed three cinematographers for different time periods, P. C. Sreeram for present-day scenes, V. S. R. Swamy for the historical sequences, and Kabir Lal for the futuristic elements.

Aditya 369 remains an influential work in Indian cinema, and its upcoming 4K re-release promises to introduce this classic to a new generation of moviegoers.
