Cherlapalli police identify accused in woman’s body case

CHERLAPALLI: Police have intensified their investigation into the case of a woman’s body found in a bag near Cherlapalli railway station.

The victim has been identified as Pramila, a native of West Bengal. Police said she had been living separately from her husband for some years. Recently, she came into contact with a Bengali youth, and the two began staying together in Kondapur.

According to police, the accused killed Pramila, packed the body in a bag and carried it from Kondapur to Cherlapalli railway station. He abandoned the bag near a station wall and later changed his clothes in the waiting hall before fleeing to Assam.
Police have formed special teams to trace the accused.
