Car crashes into compound wall in Medchal-Dundigal area; Two injured

Hyderabad: A car crashed into a compound wall in Shambipur, under the Medchal-Dundigal Police Station limits, in the early hours of today, July 25, 2025. The accident took place around 1:00 AM when the driver, reportedly drowsy, lost control of the vehicle. The car hit a road divider, went airborne, and landed on a nearby compound wall.

According to the reports, two people inside the car were injured and were immediately taken to the hospital. Local residents alerted authorities, and traffic police responded to the scene. A crane was used to remove the vehicle from the wall.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident. The police have registered a case and are conducting further inquiries into the cause of the crash.

Earlier, on June 21, 2025, a 10-year-old boy, identified as Jayashith Chauhan, was killed in Allwyn Colony, under Jagathgirigutta Police Station limits. The boy was riding his bicycle when he lost balance and fell onto the road. At that moment, a school bus arriving to pick up students ran over him. Jayashith was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The bus driver has been arrested, and the body has been sent for postmortem. Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the incident.

In another accident, a Bolero vehicle traveling on the Outer Ring Road from Gandipet to LB Nagar suffered a rear tire blowout. The vehicle struck a divider and overturned. One passenger, identified as Ravi from Odisha, was killed in the crash, while another sustained serious injuries and was taken to Gandhi Hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
