Byran Adams to Ed Shareen: How Hyderabad attracts International Musicians

This evening, the 65 year old Canadian musician, Byran Adams performs in Hyderabad at the GMR Arena as a part of his ‘So Happy It Hurts’ tour. Adams, one of the top international musicians, returned to Hyderabad a day after a roaring musical night in Bangalore on December 15, 2024. The city’s traffic police has also advised the commuters to take note of the situation and plan their outing accordingly, as huge crowds are expected to be around.

This is not a once in a blue moon phenomenon happening that international musicians like Byran Adams is visiting the city of pearls. There are more lined up, Ed Shareen is scheduled to visit Hyderabad and perform in Ramoji Film City on February 2, 2025 as a part of his - = ÷ x Tour. Ed Shareen is set to cover six of the metropolitan cities in India including Hyderabad. Further, an International Jazz festival was also held in Hyderabad at the Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet, enthralling the music lovers recently. Hyderabad became one of the most opt out places for musical concerts.

Major consumption from IT employees

A music lover, Ashritha K, speaking to Hyderabad Mail opined that the presence of a large IT crowd, who are available to grab some entertainment over the weekends is one of the reasons for this phenomenon. “Music helps oneself to unwind from the stress that we go through in a working week. And going out to concerts makes us feel like we are part of the community and people share the same vibe. So, a lot of us usually look forward to such events and book them accordingly.”

Further, an event manager also added that Hyderabad has become a hot spot not just for international musicians, but also for the local events, be it stand up comedies, local music shows, festival events among others.
