Hyderabad businessman killed by wife, her boyfriend; body burned in Karnataka coffee estate

Hyderabad: A businessman from Hyderabad was brutally murdered by his wife and her boyfriend, who transported his body to Karnataka and burned it in a coffee estate. Karnataka police discovered a half-burnt body in a coffee plantation.

The deceased was identified as Ramesh Kumar (54), a resident of Hyderabad. Preliminary investigation revealed Kumar was killed in the Uppal-Bhuvanagiri area before his body was transported to the neighbouring state. The probe uncovered the involvement of Kumar’s wife Niharika and her boyfriend Dr Nikhil in the murder.

The police said after murdering Ramesh Kumar, Niharika and Rana transported his body in a Mercedes Benz car from Hyderabad to a coffee plantation in Karnataka. They then set the body on fire in the coffee estate. The police investigation concluded that Kumar was murdered as Niharika and her boyfriend were eyeing his property which is valued at Rs. 8 crore. Karnataka police arrested the accused persons and are investigating.
