Burglars Ransack Businessman’s House in Chaderghat, Escape with Gold and Cash

In a shocking incident, burglars broke into the residence of a businessman in Chaderghat and fled with a significant quantity of gold and cash on the night of May 16. The victim, identified as Hafizuddin, had left for a family visit along with his wife that evening, leaving their children at home.

According to reports, the children had gone to sleep in their room when the burglary took place. Taking advantage of the absence of adults, the intruders quietly entered the house and noticed the sleeping children. They bolted the door of the children’s room from outside, effectively locking them in and preventing any interruption.

Once inside, the burglars proceeded to the main bedroom, where they gathered valuables including gold ornaments and cash. Interestingly, before leaving, they helped themselves to food in the house. Police stated that the offenders ate fruits from the refrigerator and later entered the kitchen to have more food, suggesting they were in no hurry and possibly familiar with the premises.

Hafizuddin returned home late at night and was alarmed to find the house ransacked. He also discovered the door of the children’s room locked from the outside. He immediately alerted the police.

The Chaderghat police responded promptly and called in a tracker dog and a forensic clues team to investigate the scene. The tracker dog picked up a scent trail that led officers to the Malakpet railway station before it was lost. Meanwhile, the forensic team lifted fingerprints from the crime scene, which are now being analyzed against a database of known offenders.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. Police are also examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas in hopes of identifying the culprits. The incident has left the local community shocked and raised concerns about residential security in the area.
