Party working president K T Rama Rao will lead the team along with former ministers T Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Padma Rao Goud and Mahmood Ali, who have been appointed as war room in-charges. The party has resolved to launch its ground-level campaign on October 12.

Following astrological advice, BRS candidate Maganti Sunita Gopinath will file her nomination at an auspicious time. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by KTR on Wednesday, which was attended by senior leaders and division in-charges including MLAs K P Vivekanand, Devireddy Sudheer Reddy and Madhavaram Krishna Rao; MLCs Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao, Dasoju Sravan and Pochampally Srinivas Reddy; MLC Shambipur Raju, former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, and leaders Ravula Sridhar Reddy, Maganti Sunita and her brother Vajranath.

The meeting discussed the functioning of campaign teams, roadshows and the daily campaign schedule. The party has instructed all campaign teams to follow the directives issued from the war room to ensure uniform messaging.

MLAs and MLCs serving as division in-charges will meet booth committees on Thursday and Friday to finalise micro-level strategies. KTR directed that all booth committee meetings be completed by October 10 and that the campaign begin on October 12.

If local body elections are not scheduled during the bypoll period, legislators and senior leaders from other districts will also join the Jubilee Hills campaign. Party sources indicated that former chief minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to participate in the final phase through a roadshow.
