Telangana needs a fulltime Home Minister: KTR during ‘Ask KTR’ session
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) held an 'Ask KTR' session on Thursday. He fielded questions on politics, governance, Group 1 candidates and various other topics during his interaction on X (formerly Twitter).
Speaking about the current economic trends under the current state government in the state, KTR said, “The Congress Govt has been a disaster in terms of the economic growth as all the statistics are pointing. The state revenues are down, important sectors like agriculture are suffering, unemployment rising and companies are moving away from Telangana.”
When asked about the action plan for the upcoming GHMC election, the BRS leader said, “Not sure if GHMC will remain as is. Rumours doing the rounds that it will be divided into multiple units.”
On party chief KCR not making public appearances lately, KTR informed that the party chief will be seen actively taking part in the public programmes in 2025.
Responding to a tweet on the incident of recent communal violence in parts of state such as Jainoor, Asifabad etc, the BRS working president said, “We have been vocal in condemning the communal violence. In our Govt, Law & Order was a top priority but after Congress has assumed office, unfortunately Police is busy in political vendetta and petty nonsense. The state needs a full time Home Minister and a free hand to be given to our efficient police officers.”
