BJP set to finalise candidate for Jubilee Hills bypoll
HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up the process of selecting its candidate for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency by-election. As part of this exercise, the party’s state leadership recently appointed a three-member committee to gather feedback from key leaders and grassroots workers.
Three-member panel submits report to Telangana BJP chief
The panel comprises former MLA M. Dharmarao, former MP Pothuganti Ramulu, and senior leader and advocate Komala Anjaneyulu. The committee has submitted its report to BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao at the party’s state office. Based on the report, Rao is expected to meet senior leaders to finalise the candidate.
Official announcement likely soon after consultations
An official announcement of the party nominee for the Jubilee Hills bypoll is likely soon. The BJP leadership said the candidate will be chosen through a consultative process that respects the opinions of local residents and party cadre.
