BJP corporators raise public grievances with TGSPCDL CMD
Hyderabad: A delegation of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) BJP corporators, including Vurapalli Sravan (Malkajgiri) and Akula Srivani (Saroornagar), met with the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPCDL) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Musharraf Farooqui and submitted a memorandum highlighting key public concerns related to power supply and civic coordination on Saturday.
The corporators noted that many beneficiaries were missing out on the state government’s six-guarantee schemes. This was due to technical issues in the Centre for Good Governance (CGG) software and problems within the departments. They urged immediate rectification to ensure eligible households receive their entitled benefits.
Speaking on the occasion, Vurapalli Sravan, Malkajgiri Corporator, demanded the release of funds for converting single-phase power lines to three-phase connections and installing new electricity poles to improve supply reliability. “Poor coordination between the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and TGSPCDL, leading to delays in clearing green waste from tree branch cuttings," added Sravan.
Another critical issue raised was the lack of safety fencing around transformers, posing risks to residents. The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) representatives insisted that TGSPCDL take responsibility for securing these installations.
CMD Musharraf Farooqui agreed to the request. He promised that a special officer would look into the concerns and provide a report for quick action, added Sravan.
