Bengaluru-sourced MDMA drug seized in Hyderabad; 8 arrested, one on the run
Hyderabad: The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested eight individuals in separate operations involving the sale and purchase of narcotics, with one suspect still at large.
In the first case, the STF B Team arrested two individuals, Varala Deekshith and Konda Boyina Varun Tej, for transporting MDMA from Bengaluru and selling it at higher prices in Hyderabad. During the operation, 6.34 grams of MDMA was seized.
Three buyers have been identified as Bhashapag Praveen Raj, Md Aslam Hussain, and Sang Prem Sailu, who were caught in the act of purchasing the drugs. The STF also seized two motorcycles and five mobile phones from the accused. All those arrested were handed over to the Ameerpet Excise Station.
In a separate case, STF A Team officials seized 1.248 kilograms of ganja in the Balaramgalli area of Dhoolpet, acting on a tip-off about illegal sale of the substance.
Four individuals have been identified as Durgesh Singh, Gulab Singh, and Kalibai, who were booked in the case. One suspect, Raju Singh, is currently absconding. Investigations are ongoing.
