25-year-old killed at Uppal bar after being hit on head with beer bottle
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man was killed in a violent altercation at Sri Good Day Bar in Ramanthapur on Sunday night, May 25, 2025. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. within the jurisdiction of Uppal Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Pavan Kumar. According to police, Pavan Kumar, a resident of Patel Nagar in Amberpet, had gone to the bar with his friend Shravan. Two other acquaintances joined them. While they were consuming alcohol, an argument broke out between Shravan and one of the others, identified as Hari.
Pavan tried to intervene to stop the fight. In the heat of the moment, Shravan struck Pavan on the head with a beer bottle. Pavan collapsed on the spot. Though he was rushed to the hospital, doctors confirmed he was brought dead.
Police arrived at the scene, took Shravan into custody, and shifted Pavan’s body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. All individuals involved in the incident are reported to be residents of Amberpet.
