Batukamma Kunta inauguration at Amberpet postponed to September 28
Hyderabad: The inauguration of Batukamma Kunta at Amberpet by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, scheduled for September 26, has been postponed to September 28, mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi announced on X on Friday.
She said the decision was taken in view of heavy rainfall alerts issued for Hyderabad city today and tomorrow, with public safety and convenience being the priority.
The restored Batukamma Kunta has undergone extensive rejuvenation works to improve its ecological balance and cultural significance. Officials said the lake will be formally dedicated to the people of Hyderabad on September 28.
The announcement was made through a statement issued by the chief public relations officer of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
