HYDERABAD, September 23, 2025: The Bathukamma celebrations scheduled at Bathukamma Kunta in Amberpet on September 26 will go ahead as planned, after the Telangana high court adjourned hearing in a related case to October 9.

The case was filed by Edla Sudhakar Reddy, who has been contesting development works at the site for decades on the basis of an unregistered agreement. He had sought a stay on the inauguration of the pond and the festival events proposed there.

The court, while permitting earlier works at the site, did not pass any order restraining the festivities. Officials clarified that the festival will be conducted on September 26 as already scheduled.
