Hyderabad police crack Ameenpur triple murder case, mother and paramour held

Hyderabad: The chilling mystery surrounding the death of three young children in Ameenpur, Sangareddy district, has been solved by the police. The children Sai Krishna (12), Madhu Priya (10) and Goutham (8) were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their residence in Raghavendra Colony, within the Ameenpur police limits of Sangareddy district on March 28, 2025.

The investigation revealed that the mother murdered her three children herself and an extramarital affair was the motive behind the gruesome act.

According to police, the accused mother Rajitha, who worked as a teacher at a private school, mixed curd rice with poison before serving it to her husband Avurijinthala Chennaiah and children on the night of March 27. However, her husband, who works as a water tanker driver, had to leave the house without consuming food after he received a phone call.

When Chennaiah returned home, she pretended to suffer from severe stomach pain to mislead him. He then rushed her to a hospital in Beeramguda. The police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

During the initial investigation, the locals told the police that the couple frequently fought over trivial matters. However, a thorough police investigation confirmed that Rajitha intentionally poisoned her children.

According to police reports, Rajitha was allegedly in a relationship with another man and had plotted to poison her entire family, including her husband, Chennaiah, in order to live permanently with her paramour. The police have taken both Rajitha and her alleged lover into custody for further investigation.
